Yep, more cherry. This time top, bottom, and Backbone™ are all made from cherry wood, while the sides are hard maple. The finish here actually only contains some moderate amber coloring. The rest of the color you see is pure natural cherry. Over time, the cherry wood will continue to darken slightly, developing deeper red tones, while the maple sides and neck will remain as they are with their amber tint.
24-3/4" scale, graphite nut, rosewood fretboard with narrow-tall 6105 frets, rounded heel, mother-of-pearl inlay, and Schaller locking tuners. Full specs here.
The five-way blade switch runs like this:
1. bridge only (switch full rear) - standard humbucker "lead" setting
2. bridge, one coil out of phase, in series with neck - raw, slightly nasal tone, great for slide work
3. outer coils in series - for that thick, scooped sound
4. inner coils in parallel - cleaner, slightly less output
5. neck pickup (switch full forward) - standard humbucker "rhythm" setting
